BURLEY-in-Wharfedale Bowls Club has recently benefitted from assistance from contractors working on the new McCarthy and Stone development on the former Generous Pioneer site in the village.
The club purchased a new equipment shed adjacent to their pavilion and following discussions with McCarthy and Stone the company provided a new path to the shed from the green. The company are presently using the pavilion as an information centre each week on a Thursday.
Judith Ullock, the club Treasurer, said: "We are enjoying a good relationship with McCarthy and Stone and between us we hope that in time the club can be utilised by residents of the new homes being built by the company."
