A BOMB squad rushed to a property in Burley-in-Wharfedale after a hand grenade was discovered.
The EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team were called out by police yesterday evening (February 2) after a member of the public found the hand grenade at a property in Peel Place.
They put a cordon in place while they dealt with the potentially explosive devise.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 17.05 yesterday evening (2 February) officers were approached by a member of the public reporting that they had been demolishing a property in Peel Place, Burley in Wharfedale and had located what they believed to be a hand grenade.
"The EOD attended and a cordon was put in place.
"It was established that the grenade was not live and was removed for disposal."
