A LAUNCH event for this year's Ilkley Pride was held at the Clarke Foley Centre last Friday.
One hundred and forty-six people attended the event and enjoyed entertainment from local drag artist Marigold Adams, who will be one of the headline acts at Ilkley Pride on Saturday, July 1 at the King's Hall and Winter Gardens, along with Ilkley's Bosom Buddies.
Chair of Ilkley Pride and Diversity, David Shaw MBE said: "A massive thank you to the amazing 146 people who attended the Ilkley & Keighley Pride launch last Friday.
"What a night! What a launch - it was totally amazing - thank you."
A huge range of local businesses have committed to sponsoring Ilkley Pride, who Mr Shaw thanked. He also thanked Cllr Martin Love, Lord Mayor of Bradford, Cllr Mark Stidworthy, Mayor Ilkley and MP Robbie Moore, for paying tribute to the hard work of Ilkley and Keighley Prides in celebrating all that is good about diversity and inclusion in the towns.
Tickets for Ilkley Pride will be on sale soon. Visit www.ilkleypride.co.uk for more information and sponsorship opportunities.
