Pinsuti, the Ilkley and Skipton Chamber Choir, is recruiting.
The choir is particularly looking for tenors and basses, but are always keen to hear from any strong singers.
A spokesperson said: "Our Spring Concert is at St Andrews Church in Skipton on Saturday April 29th, with a floral theme showcasing Lauridsen’s “Les chansons des roses” and Mealor’s song sequence “Now sleeps the crimson petal”. These are alongside some spectacular pieces from “A garland for the Queen”: music commissioned for our late Queen’s coronation in 1952.
"For our Summer concert, in Christchurch Skipton, on July 8th, we are very excited to be performing Tallis’ 40 part masterpiece, “Spem in Alium” once again. This involves eight choirs of five people each and is quite magical.
"If you would like to be part of this, are a confident sight-reader and able to hold a part on your own, please contact us at info@pinsuti.org.uk. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings in Ilkley. There is more information on our website: www.pinsuti.org.uk. We invite anyone interested to come and try us out for a couple of rehearsals."
