RETIREES are being invited to discover more about a new retirement development in Burley-in-Wharfedale.

The discovery day for the Summer Manor Retirement Living development, being built by McCarthy Stone, will take place on Friday, February 10th from 11am at Queens Hall, Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, LS29 7BT.

There will be a presentation at 11am about facilities and services available at the new development. From 11.30am until 4pm, a team of experts will be on hand to answer questions about moving services and flexible purchasing options.

The Generous Pioneer in Ilkley Road, Burley-in-Wharfedale, was demolished in 2022 to make way for the retirement development. Construction is progressing rapidly in readiness to receive new homeowners from autumn 2023.

Summer Manor will comprise of 24 one-bedroom and 18 two-bedroom retirement apartments for the over 60s.

Plans and apartment specifications will be on view at the discovery day, while visitors can find out more about flexible purchasing opportunities, including the option to purchase outright, rent, or part-buy, part-rent. McCarthy Stone staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
