I want to thank you for publicising my pub quiz to raise funds so I can attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in July (Wharfedale Observer, 12 January). More than 100 people came along and I raised £556.21 on the night.

As well as everyone who sponsored me, I would also like to thank Natalie at Coopers Bar & Brasserie for letting me have the room and those who donated prizes including Guiseley AFC, Cllr Eleanor Thomson and Old Chapel Music CIC.

I want to give a special mention to Matilda, Lily, Helena, Harry, Alex, Matt, Mark, Andy and Eva who joined me on stage to play live music.

Thanks to the kindness of so many people including some I’ve never met, I am now getting close to reaching my target. I am really grateful to everybody.
