FELL rescue volunteers were called to Brimham Rocks, Summerbridge, near Harrogate, on Wednesday after a 11 year old became 'crag-fast' - or stuck and unable to get down - while climbing.
Rescuers using ropes got the boy safety back to the ground where he was reunited with his grandmother.
A spokesperson for Grassington based Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association said: "The team received a call from North Yorkshire Police with reports of an 11-year old male who, having successfully reached the top of Castle Rocks, was now crag-fast and unable to descend.
"A small team was deployed, rigging a rope and lowering him safely and uninjured to ground level, whereupon he was reunited with his grandmother."
It was the 73rd call out for UWFRA in 2022.
