FELL rescue were called out yesterday (Thursday) to Bolton Abbey after a woman fell while crossing the river using the stepping stones.
A spokesperson for Grassington based Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) said: "The team were called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with a 39 year old lady who had fallen at the stepping stones at Bolton Abbey.
"The lady had seriously hurt her elbow and was in a lot of pain so it was requested that the team extract her back to the ambulance to minimise any further discomfort.
"We wish her a full recovery."
