LABOUR have gained seats in Horsforth and in Guiseley and Rawdon in the local elections for Leeds City Council.
In Guiseley and Rawdon Labour's Eleanor Thomson was elected with 3,957 votes. Conservative Pete Gable got 3,024 votes, and the Yorkshire Party's Bob Buxton won 703 votes.
In Horsforth Labour gained two seats, with one seat having been previously vacant. Emmie Bromley and
John Garvani got the highest number of votes with 3,402 and 3,166 respectively. Conservatives Dawn Collins and Tracy Stones got 2,673 and 2,492 respectively.
Otley and Yeadon ward was a Liberal Democrat hold by long-standing councillor Colin Campbell with 3,546 votes.
Labour has kept control of Leeds City Council.
