AN ILKLEY man has received a hefty fine after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Dan Fox, 35, of Queens Drive, Ilkley, appeared at York Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 21.
He faced a charge of drink driving. The offence occurred on June 5, 2021 at Kettlesing, Harrogate, when he drove a motor vehicle, namely a Range Rover on the A59, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath - 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - exceeded the prescribed limit.
He was fined £1,296, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £130 and costs of £125 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 17 months.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
