AFTER a two-year absence, Burley Theatre Group is proud to be back and presents the very magical and musical tale of Pinocchio the Panto, written by Dan Smith and Claire Hughes and directed by Pam Leach.

A truly captivating, family show featuring much comedy, singing, dancing and live music. No word of a lie - the only thing wooden about this production is Pinocchio of course!

Pinocchio is the story of Geppetto, a lonely woodcarver who longs for a son. He creates a puppet in the form of a wooden boy and with a little bit of fairy magic his dreams come true!

However, Pinocchio his magical puppet is mischievous and has a tendency to fib and longs to be a real boy! Disaster strikes and he runs away to join the circus, lured by promises of fortune and fame by evil circus master Stromboli and his minions John Fox and Max Cat.

Can good prevail and will Pinocchio follow his ‘conscience’? Come along to find out and enjoy this wonderful tale.
