BARCLAYS Bank is seeking approval for work to support the closure of its Ilkley branch and revert the external appearance back to it’s original condition.

The bank has submitted a planning application to Bradford Council.

The proposed works to the façade of the building includes the removal of existing individual lettering and projecting signage with existing masonry to be made good on completion. The existing ATM is to be removed with a new timber sash window to match the existing on completion. The existing night safe is to be retained.

Barclays announced in November last year its intention to close the branch at 9 Brook Street, Ilkley, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
