MEMBERS of Ilkley Choral Society sang Christmas carols from the bandstand on Sunday.
The items were introduced by the Rev Roberta Topham, Minister of Christchurch, Ilkley, to a large gathering of shoppers at the Real Food Ilkley Christmas market. As the choir were singing towards the end of the event, shoppers gathered round and young and old joined in with traditional carols.
To finish their performances, a small group sang carols at the Stravan Care Home, Queen’s Road, Ilkley. In a safe environment the group sang carols for an appreciative gathering of residents .
A spokesperson said: “Ilkley Choral Society is proud to have a strong association with their community, especially around the festive season.
“Concerts for Spring 2022 are Saturday, March 26 in Otley Parish Church and Saturday, May 21at St Margaret’s Church, Ilkley.
