Crowds at a previous Christmas lights switch on in Ilkley
TODAY'S Christmas lights switch-on in Ilkley has been cancelled.
Posting on their Facebook Page this morning (Saturday, November 27) organisers Ilkley Town Council said: "We have made the very difficult decision to cancel the Light Switch On Event today. The unpredictable weather and severe warnings mean that we must keep our community, contractors and volunteers safe and the only way to ensure this is by not running the event."
