KESSIA Hadfield-Walker from Addingham is celebrating success after competing in the Dance World Cup. Kessia was selected to represent Team England at the Dance World Cup which took place in Telford. She was just one for three dancers selected to represent England in each genre and performed three solos - Ballet, Acro and Modern Show Dance - choreographed by teacher and mum Melanie Hadfield-Walker, who said:”She was absolutely delighted to bring home two silver medals and a bronze medal. Earning three world rankings including a fabulous second in the world for show dance, scoring points for England who went on to win the Dance World Cup 2021! Over 6000 dancers entered and the atmosphere was electric at the finals. She is now back to training to begin auditioning for 2022!” She trains at Starlight Academy in Guiseley and takes additional ballet classes on the Northern Ballet CAT programme.
