ILKLEY Playhouse is pleased to welcome back the fabulous ‘Fire and Rain’ on Saturday, September 18.
For those who have fond memories of singer James Taylor, an evening at the Fire and Rain event is a must-see retrospective and a real treat. They play James Taylor’s music from his first album right through to his most recent, which encompasses a mix of folk, pop and blues. The set list includes classics like Fire and Rain, Shower The People, You’ve Got A Friend, Carolina In My Mind, Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight, Sweet Baby James, and Many other of his and Carole King hits. Fire and Rain is not a tribute band, but simply a collection of five of the best musicians from the North of England coming together to play music they love. Expect classic James Taylor and Carole King songs played with skill, passion, emotion, humour and humility. Incredibly in-demand musicians, Tom Townsend (The Tom Townsend Blues Band), Rich Adams and Mark Gordon (Stony), Paul Tilley and Bob Walker. They abandon their usual bands and projects for this one-off tour to bring the joy of Taylor & King’s music to you in what they call a ‘magical musical holiday’. Tickets are £15 from Ilkley Playhouse box office 01943 609539 or visit www.ilkleyplayhouse.co.uk
