THE Rotary Club of Ilkley Wharfedale has organised a duck race as part of the Picnic in the Park event on Sunday, August 29 in Ilkley.
Starting from the old boating landing stage next to the Riverside Hotel at 2pm and finishing at the New Bridge, there will be cash prizes for the three winning ducks of £200, with £100 for second and £50 for third. Individual numbered ducks can be sponsored for £2. Tickets are available from the bar or ice cream outlet at The Riverside Hotel and, on the day, near the riverside landing stage between noon to 1.30pm.
It is intended that tickets will also be available at The Picnic in the Park in East Holme Field from noon to 1.30pm.

All proceeds are for small local charities in Ilkley and Wharfedale.
