A DISCOVERY Day takes place on Sunday, August 22 in the field next to The White House on Otley Chevin. Bring your own picnic and have a fun packed day from 10am to 4pm for all the family. Follow the natural history trails, learn about the history of The Chevin, explore with the mini-beast hunt and use your mathematical thinking to answer questions on the maths trail. Learn about trees and join in some drama - ‘The Diggers are Coming’ (afternoon only). Try your hand at building a wall with the Otley and Wharfedale Dry Stone Wallers. There’ll be stalls from natural history organisations including Friends of Chevin Forest, Otley 2030, Otley Community Land Trust, Walkers are Welcome, Wildlife Friendly Otley, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
