Otley Lions Club has met Beth Rhodes who was selected to represent Great Britain at the European Youth Championships in Bucharest.
The championships took place from August 2 to August 7. Team GB sent a team of athletes to Bucharest, and some of those were making their international debut. Beth, who started archery aged at the age of eight, is a compound archer with memberships at Aire Valley Archers and Riggwelter Field Archers. She has competed in many competitions over her career and took silver for the Yorkshire County team in 2019.
An Otley Lions spokesman said: "The Club are very happy to be supporting Beth on this next leg of her amazing journey, the last year can’t have been easy with restrictions cancelling training and competitions so to still get selected just shows the amount of effort and commitment Beth has put into her sport and we would like to wish her all the best as she moves forwards."
