Ben Rhydding Bowls Club joined a nationwide weekend of events to promote the sport.
A spokesman said: "The weather helped to give us a wonderful fun-filled day. The age range attending went from 3 to 80 years and there was something for everyone to enjoy.
"We were honoured to have the CEO of Bowls England attend together with his family. After a brief introduction, participants tried bowling at a target, bowling through hoops, bowling at different lengths, bowling to knock down skittles and finally having a game of bowls.
"Refreshments were provided and it is hoped that some of those participating will have been enthused to join the club, which has club afternoons on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and an evening session on Tuesdays. All are welcome."
The national open weekend took place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend to recruit new players and was the initiative of Bowls England
