PUPILS at Moorfield School and Nursery, in Ilkley have been raising money for the British Heart Foundation and learning the importance of learning first aid skills.
Senior 6 said they have loved their First Aid lessons since the return to school.
As part of their ‘Heart Day’ fundraising event the pupils performed continuous CPR for the entire school day to raise awareness of the importance of First Aid skills.
They also provided First Aid workshops throughout the day for all the other classes.
Tina Herbert, Head of Moorfield, said, “We had a great day full of heart related activities and all the children wore red.
“We must say a big thank you to our Senior 6 teacher, Sarah Turner-Thompson, who organised the day and raised a fantastic amount of money for the British Heart Foundation.
“You are never too young to save a life.”
