A MAN who fell on a footpath near Addingham yesterday (Sunday) injuring his leg, was stretchered to a waiting road ambulance by Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue .
The Grassington based team responded to a call from the ambulance service to help the 49 year old who was reported to have suspected leg injuries.
An UWFRA spokesperson said: “Team members treated the casualty by giving pain relief and applying a splint. We then stretchered the casualty across fields to the awaiting road ambulance. “
The team thanked West Hall Farm to allow members to park there while carrying out the rescue.
