TWO young residents of Grange Close in Ben Rhydding completed a sponsored run for Comic Relief on Saturday.
Sisters Daisy Lowe, aged eight, and Heidi Lowe, aged six, both pupils of Ashlands Primary School, set themselves a challenge of running 10 miles between them up and down the footpaths of the Grange Close cul de sac.
They wanted to raise £100 for this worthy cause but with generous donations from neighbours, family, friends and Ilkley Royal Mail sorting office they not only reached the target but smashed it and are on course to raise over £600.
Daisy and Heidi were joined in the run at various times by other children in the close which kept their spirits up and were cheered on by neighbours who waved flags and put up banners.
Daisy and Heidi said the generosity and support they received really helped them get over the line and wish to thank everyone for their support.
