ILKLEY’S Business Improvement District (BID) have launched the new town website Discover Ilkley.
The new website has been locally created, commissioning a team of Ilkley businesses to develop and design the site.
The project has been a joint initiative with Ilkley Town Council who warmly support the Discover Ilkley Campaign to which it has contributed financially.
Ilkley Town Mayor Mark Stidworthy said: “The new Discover Ilkley website is a vibrant and informative one-stop portal where businesses, shoppers, visitors and residents can find out more about what’s happening in the BID area, where to shop, what to eat, where to go and how to get there.”
Newly appointed Ilkley BID Manager, Felicity Gains said: “When it is safe to do so, we want to let everyone know about all the great events that take place in Ilkley, about the fantastic independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
“The site will also promote all the things available to see and do in Ilkley.
“There are links to the various voluntary and community groups in the area, and a separate business directory to showcase the non-retail BID businesses not featured in the shopping and hospitality section.”
Felicity added: “For businesses who are not part of the BID that would like to be listed on the website, you can join the BID as voluntary members or apply for our advertising package; qualifying criteria and details of how to do this are on the BID website: www.ilkleybid.co.uk.”
Community groups can have their events listed on the Community Calendar section of the website and should email these details to info@ilkleybid.co.uk .
