A MOTORIST was arrested yesterday for driving under the influence of drugs after being caught by a police operation in north west Leeds.
Specialist officers from West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit worked in partnership with Leeds North West Neighbourhood Police Team (NPT) to create an increased police presence on the roads of north west Leeds on Tuesday, January 26.
Areas patrolled included Otley, Yeadon, Rawdon and Guiseley.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Where possible, drivers were pulled over, spoken to and educated on safer driving.
"Results from the operation included: 11x Speeding Tickets, 1x Vehicle seized for not having any insurance and 1x driver arrested for driving whilst under the influence of both cannabis and cocaine."
