One of the proposed suggestions, the introduction of draconian parking charges on The Grove and surrounding streets, and the proposed extension of residents’ permits in certain streets, will not solve the parking problems in Ilkley.

It will, however, be a further tax imposed by the local authority on the residents and shoppers of Ilkley. A recent survey has found that the central car park is under utilised during the working week and is only ever full at weekends.

A view I would concur with, having viewed it only yesterday.
