A pink-themed fun day at an Otley shooting club has raised more than £5,070 for charity.
Yorkgate Gun Club and Shooting School invited participants to dress brightly for the event, which featured a shooting competition, hog roast, raffle, bouncy castle and face painting.
Many took up the advice, none more so than club member Dax Hewitt – who travelled to Otley on his motorbike dressed in a revealing pink outfit which earned him a prize. The fun day raised £5,070 for Pink Events, a local group that supports breast cancer charities.
Club owners Angela and Bob Agar said: “We’d like to say a special thanks to everyone who attended on the day, to Penny and Sons at Rawdon for donating the hog roast and to all the businesses in Otley who supported the event by donating raffle prizes.”
The competition winners were Dave Wild (High Gun), Dave Naylor (Veterans), Camilla Boyton (Ladies) and Thomas Hobkirk (Juniors).
