Members of Ilkley Playhouse have returned from a very successful trip to North Wales where they presented their fringe version of Conor McPherson's The Weir.
Two performances took place over the last weekend of August at the John Andrew’s Theatre, an outdoor venue at Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw Arts Centre in Llanbedrog.
Already, plans are in progress to take a full-scale production of Ken Ludwig’s comedy Shakespeare in Hollywood to North Wales in August 2014.
Walter Swan, creative development manager at Ilkley Playhouse, said: “The trip was a great success and relations between this new North Wales outdoor theatre and Ilkley Playhouse are now well and truly cemented.
“We had very positive feedback from our audiences in Wales and we could not have been made more welcome. A joyous weekend!”
