Tackling Bradford’s housing problems now and in the future will be the principal aim of the forthcoming Bradford Housing Partnership Annual Conference.
Geraldine Howley, Incommunities Group chief executive and chairman of the Bradford Housing Partnership, will formally welcome delegates to the conference tomorrow at the Banqueting Hall, City Hall, Bradford.
The aim of the conference is to gain a better understanding of the district’s housing needs and discuss ways of working in partnership to meet the challenges of the future.
The all-day event is expected to attract about 60 representatives from the housing and regeneration sector.
Delegates include representatives from Bradford Council, housing and support providers, employment and skills partners, health authorities, property developers, police and transport authorities.
Speakers will include social housing expert Lord Richard Best of Godmanstone, Paul Mackie, chairman of construction consultants, Rex Procter and Partners, and Lord William Wallace of Saltaire.
Bradford Councillor Val Slater, executive member for planning, transport and highways will chair the afternoon of the conference.
