A Wharfedale charity that supports older residents is celebrating receiving a £4,190 grant.
The Big Lottery Fund award will help Otley Action for Older People kit out its new offices on Bay Horse Court and add a portable disabled ramp to make them fully accessible.
Project manager Sue Trainor said the organisation was delighted with the windfall – and has a series of new initiatives planned for the coming months.
Anyone interested in finding out more should call into the office or call (01943) 463965. Otley Action for Older People is also hoping lots of residents will attend its open day on Friday, September 20, to enjoy some refreshments and have a chat. Following the event, its new base will be open to the public between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
