GALLOWAY Elisabeth Elisabeth Galloway (formerly Smith, nee Allcock) known universally as 'Libby' died peacefully at Beanlands Nursing Home on 15th April aged 86 years. Libby lived on Ryeland Street in Cross Hills for over forty five years, part of which time was shared with her second husband Jim Galloway. Before that she farmed with her first husband Gilbert Smith at Leys Farm, Glusburn. Libby was a character and a much loved part of the community. She will be sadly missed by her son, John Smith, daughter Linda Rhodes, and her grandchildren Tom, Anna, Yasmin and Holly. A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will take place at St. Peter's Methodist Church, Cross Hills on Tuesday 30th May at 1.30pm.
