SHEARD John Arnold Francis Well known journalist, columnist and author passed away peacefully on Sunday 5th September 2021 at Airedale Hospital. Sheardie, survived by beloved wife Val, much loved dad to Lucas and Beth, father-in-law to Anita and Sebastian, and cherished by his grandchildren Naomi, Richard and Samuel, will be truly missed, and also by friends and former colleagues. John's funeral service will be held at Skipton Crematorium on Thursday 30th September at 1:20 pm, followed by a Wake at Herriot's Hotel from 2:00 pm. Family flowers only. Any attire, but bright colours welcome. Donations in memory of John at Yorkshire Air Ambulance c/o Howcrofts' Funeral Services. Skipton will have one less curmudgeon
