The Fleece at Addingham is to be refurbished and will reopen in time for Christmas, it was announced yesterday.
The award-winning pub will be opened on Thursday, December 1, by new owner Craig Minto, who trained at the Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey, before working in Ilkley restaurant, The Farsyde.
Craig has been instrumental in the restoration and running of a string of successful gastro-pubs in Britain and abroad, including The Gray Ox Inn, in Liversedge, and The Sun Inn, just outside Edinburgh. He has picked up accolades along the way, with awards such as AA Pub of the Year, Scottish Gastro-pub of the Year and Marston’s Food Pub of the Year. The Fleece will have a delicatessen running along-side the main restaurant and will be running cookery courses to inspire serious foodies and complete novices.
