Acting starlet Georgie Henley will help light up the skies for the festive season when she turns on London’s Regent Street Christmas lights next week.
The 15-year-old from Ilkley, pictured playing Lucy Pevensie in the Chronicles of Narnia series, will be joined by co-stars Ben Barnes and Will Poulter for the switch-on next Tuesday.
The trio will also be joined by last year’s X Factor winner Joe McElderry.
The world-famous light display will be Narnia-themed in time for the release of the latest film, the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which is due in cinemas next month.
Georgie, a member of the Ilkley Upstagers Theatre Group, shot to fame after landing the role of Lucy for the 2005 film the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, based on C S Lewis’ classic. She reprised the part for the 2008 follow-up Prince Caspian.
