ONE of Ilkley’s most iconic heritage properties is up for sale for the first time in 30 years.
The historic Victorian Arcade on Hawsworth Street is on the market with FSS Property for £550,000.
The arcade was developed during Ilkley’s expansion following the opening of the station in 1865.
Dan Brumfitt of FSS said the building remains an integral part of the town’s retail mix and Victorian heritage.
“Buildings like this rarely come onto the open market and with all six commercial units – five shops and a restaurant – fully let we are expecting a lot of interest from potential owners,” he said.
“The shops and restaurant won’t be affected by the sale and it will be very much business as usual for them.
“We are looking for a buyer who will continue to maintain and enhance this important landmark building for future generations of residents and visitors to enjoy,” he added.
