A TEENAGER has been arrested and charged with criminal damage and burglary at Riverside Hotel and Lister Arms, both Ilkley, on Friday, July 28.
Police were called after two teens aged 15 and 16 were alleged to have broken a glass door and a window valued at less than £5,000 at Riverside Hotel
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with the offence which occurred on Friday, July 28.
The charged teen appeared before Leeds Magistraes' Court on July 29. As well as the Riverside Hotel charge, the teen was charged with burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal at the Lister Arms (Wetherspoons) Ilkley, on July 29. He was also charged with damaging a window at a property in Mayfield Avenue on July 9 and possessing an offensive weapon in public - namely a large wooden pole - on June 24, in Ilkley.
He was also charged with theft of two bottles of cough medicine from Tesco, in Springs Lane, Ilkley, on June 25.
He was bailed to appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court on August 7 for a plea.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with burglary on July 28. The 15-year-old was bailed pending further inquiries.
